This is the second of Sherrie's books. Well written and intriguing read. Water lily will not fail to entrance you.
I have read all 3 of Sherry's books. I couldn't put any of them down until I had finished them! Water Lily was especially fun for me since I graduated in the 80's and could relate to a lot of what was in the book, such as the reference to the 80's music. It was all a good book should be, good romance, tear-jerking, fun, all at the same time. It kept me wondering what would happen next and wasn't the kind where you knew how it would end. I read it over a weekend and didn't get a thing done around the house! I would definitely recommend it, along with her other books!
Sherrie Hansen's Water Lily captures the emotional upheavals of a woman's lifetime struggle with her self-image. Will that struggle come between her and the man she loves, or will outside forces do that instead? That is the question/conflict I wondered until the end.
Hansen is a natural story-teller, adept at presenting frustrating circumstances, likeable and unlikeable characters, misunderstandings, tender moments, and steamy love scenes. Water Lily kept me reading and touched my heart.
Water Lily kept me entranced with the characters page after page. Water Lily is the second of a trilogy series of three. I can't wait for the final book to come out. The third book is titled Merry Go Round and I'm sure it will be as fun and entertaining to read and the others. I've so enjoyed all three of Sherrie's books. She is such a talented writer and she really knows how to string her stories along to include us with the characters on wonderful adventures. Sherrie provides so many twists and turns in her stories that keep me glued to the pages until I reach the final page. I encourage anyway that enjoys a fun read that contains lots of romance and people striving to reach the happy ending to buy Sherrie Hansen's books. All three would definitely make a wonderful gift for any avid reader. I'm a fan for life!
