demystifying College Admissions is an extremely well written book. The information provided can only come from someone who has had the experience of trying to understand and navigate the entire college process. This book answered so many questions that I had but was unsure who to ask or where to look. A must read for all parents whose children plan on attending college.
"Demystifying" covers every aspect of the college process in a friendly, conversational style. I especially liked the anecdotal vignettes presented in the "Reality Check" sections, and felt the layout of the book made it easy to access areas of particular interest. I definitely learned some very useful strategies and would highly recommend this book to anyone that is looking for practical information from a reliable - and relatable - source.
This book was written for the parent not the student. It gives a clear and concise process for guiding you and your child through the college admissions journey. This step by step guide is full of all the information you need to attain your goals. The author includes her own personal experiences known in the book as "reality checks" which gives the reader a genuine, emotional feel.
